About the Patriot House Bed & Breakfast

Originally built around 1870, the grand home we now call the Patriot House has been a long-time fixture on the main streetscape in town and a cherished residence for several Annville families over the years. Annville is a warm, peaceful community with a hard-working Pennsylvania Dutch tradition. Many businesses have been operating for generations and the Patriot House is proud to be a good neighbor and fresh amenity for the area.
The following excerpt is from the pamphlet, A View of Annville Pennsylvania - A Walking Tour of the East End published by the Friends of Old Annville.
301 East Main Street: John L. Saylor
This home built by John L. Saylor sometime before 1875 is constructed of brick that has been covered with siding. In the early 1900s, H.W. Miller - owner of the hardware store at 18 East Main Street - lived here with his family. Sometime later, the house changed hands and became the residence and office of local physician, Dr. James Monteith. The Stalnecker family lived here for a time afterwards.
