The historic dwelling that is now the Patriot House Bed and Breakfast, has just a bit of Annville, PA history that goes along with it. The house itself is approximately 135 years old and in case you are wondering, no we do not know of any ghosts living in the house...yet.

Annville, Pennsylvania is a beautiful town and the Patriot House Bed and Breakfast is proud to be a part of the community.

The following excerpt is from the pamphlet, "A View of Annville Pennsylvania -  A Walking Tour of the East End" published by the Friends of Old Annville Organization.

301 East Main Street: John L. Saylor

This home built by John L. Saylor sometime before 1875 is constructed of brick that has been covered with siding.

In the early 1900s, H.W. Miller - owner of the hardware store at 18 East Main Street - lived here with his family.

Sometime later, the house changed hands and became the residence and office of local physician, Dr. James Monteith.

The Stalnecker family lived here for a time afterwards.

The Friends of Old Annville was incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1981. Their mission is to emphasize historic preservation and awareness. The focal point of their efforts is Historic Old Annville Day, an annual day-long celebration of the history of Annville.
